Leadership Matters: Men's Conference with Jerry Wragg

Join us for our Leadership Matters men’s conference! Jerry Wragg will lead us through two morning sessions and a Q&A time at the SAC museum. Breakfast will be served at 8 a.m. and our sessions will run from 8:30 a.m. - 12 p.m.

Jerry has served as Senior Pastor at Grace Immanuel Bible Church in Jupiter, Florida, since 2001. Prior to his ministry in Florida, Jerry served for many years as Sr. Associate Pastor and Personal Assistant to Dr. John MacArthur at Grace Community Church, Sun Valley, CA. He serves as president and a faculty member of The Expositors Seminary (http://expositorsseminary.org/) in Jupiter. He is a graduate of The Master’s Seminary. In addition to various articles and essays, Jerry is the author of Courageous Churchmen and co-author of Free to Be Holy.

He and his wife, Louise, have been married for 40 years. They have four grown children and eight grandchildren. Jerry’s greatest joy is watching the flock become mature followers of Jesus Christ as His truth is brought to bear upon their hearts.

This year, we're kick-starting middle school youth group in style! Students who will be in grades 6-8 during the 2024-25 school year are invited to Rooted Middle School Camp, a camp that brings together students from like-minded churches across Iowa and Nebraska.
This year's theme is "Exiles" from 1 Peter 2:11, "Beloved, I urge you as sojourners and exiles to abstain from the passions of the flesh, which wage war against your soul."

About Rooted Middle School Camp:
Rooted gives middle school students an opportunity to deepen their relationship with Christ, providing a positive camp experience for students to learn how to have and live out faith that is rooted in Christ and the truth of His Word. We'll play games, worship God through music, and listen to faithful preaching of God’s Word.

Join us for an exciting safari adventure through the book of Proverbs! We’ll discover how to have a heart that trusts in the Lord, have ears that hear and do God’s Word, have a tongue that speaks in a God-honoring way, and how to have hands that work and feet that walk with the wise!

Join us as Dr. Randy Guliuzza, President of the Institute of Creation Research, will show us the importance of having a Christian worldview of creation, straight from the Word of God.

You will also hear the testimony of retired Lt. General Shackleford of the United States Air Force, a decorated military veteran and a ministry leader at Countryside Bible Church in Southlake, Texas.

Lisa Hughes will lead the women of Providence Bible Church through putting shame and guilt in its proper place.  More than ever, we are in need of a proper understanding of what the Bible teaches about shame and its purposes in our lives.  We will gain a better understanding of how God uses shame and guilt for good while also addressing how shame can cripple us when we don't deal with it in Biblically healthy ways.  Bring your Bible as we look at selected passages on the topic.   

Join us at 8:30 for registration and a light breakfast.  Lunch will be served.  

Lisa Hughes is a Pastor's wife, Mom, Grandmother, and an Author of two books:  God's Priorities for Today's Woman: Discovering His Plan for You and Unmet Expectations: Reshaping our Thinking in Disappointments, Trials, and Delays!  She lives in Kentucky with her husband Jack Hughes where they faithfully serve the Church.

Special guest Dr. Jack Hughes will lead the men of Providence Bible Church through a helpful method of diagramming, interpreting, and understanding Romans 12 for a deeper and more full application of scripture's implications to our lives. More than ever, we are in need of a proper understanding of what the Bible teaches about how to live a life on the altar and to be transformed by the renewing of our minds. 

We will gain a better understanding of how God uses our living sacrifice for His glory and for our good as we live, serve and love Jesus Christ, his Church, and our families. Bring your Bible and learn to more effectively wield your two-edged sword.

Join us at 5:30pm for a catered dinner. Our program starts at 7pm. 

Dr. Jack Hughes – Pastor, Teacher  -  Jack received his Masters of Divinity degree in expository preaching from The Master’s Seminary and a Doctor of Ministry degree in expository preaching from Westminster Theological Seminary in Escondido, CA. Jack is passionate about expository preaching, discipling men, and equipping the saints for the work of the ministry. The Essential Church on Earth and Beyond with Space Cadets Chris & Gordon

The Essential Church is a feature-length documentary that explores the struggle between Church and government throughout history. Though John MacArthur and Grace Community Church are featured in the movie because of their conflict with the government during the pandemic, that’s only part of the story. It also take us to multiple countries and uncovers those who have sacrificed their lives for what they believe in.

There is also an optional two-hour Vacation Bible School (VBS) for elementary students offered during the screening of The Essential Church movie. Astronaut Chris and his crew will be teaching the children the importance of the church.

Colonel Jeffrey Williams - Astronaut, Author, and Speaker - served 27 years in the United States Army and continues to work in our nation’s space program. An astronaut since 1996, Williams flew a record-setting 534 days on four space flights to the International Space Station. He is the author of The Work of His Hands: A View of God’s Creation from Space. A West Point graduate, Williams holds advanced degrees in aeronautical engineering and national security, as well as a DM from The Master’s Seminary. He and his wife, Anna-Marie, reside in Battle Ground, Washington, where they serve at Word of Grace Bible Church. Jeff is also a member of Grace to You board of directors.

Charles (Chas) Morse - Bible, Apologetics, Worldview - received a bachelor’s degree in Christian Education from Christian Heritage College in 1980, a master’s degree in management from Bellevue University in 1996, a master’s degree in military studies from Maxwell Air Force Base in 2000, and a master’s degree in Christian education from the Institute for Creation Research’s School of Biblical Apologetics in 2011. He studied at Dallas Theological Seminary for three years before joining the Air Force, where he served as staff sergeant for four years and was later commissioned as a second lieutenant. After retiring from the Air Force as a lieutenant colonel, Morse joined the Institute for Creation Research in 2009 and now serves as Director of Donor Relations.

Daniel Woods - Educator, Speaker, Worldview - Daniel grew up in Nebraska and was a professional educator for 35 years. He served in public schools and private Christian schools in Nebraska as a teacher, principal, and superintendent. He currently serves as Assistant Director of Kingdom Sports and Providence Bible Church Administrator. The Lord saved him while serving in the education field and he enjoys teaching on Biblical Worldview issues. Daniel has been married to his wife for 35 years and they have three grown children and nine grandchildren.

Major General (Ret) Scott Vander Hamm - He was a six-time commander of military units during his 32-year service in the Air Force. As Commander of the Eighth Air Force, he led the “Mighty Eighth” and the air component headquarters in planning and executing strategic deterrence and global strike operations for USSTRATCOM. He logged more than 4,600 flying hours as command pilot of several aircraft platforms such as the B-2 bomber and the T-38 jet trainer. He is a Vice President for Northrup Grumman and Corporate Lead Executive for the company's U.S. Strategic Command and Air Force Global Strike Command. He and his wife are active members of Emmaus Bible Church in Bellevue, Nebraska.

Lieutenant General (Ret) Mark Shackelford – Test Pilot, Engineer, Ministry Leader – graduated from the U.S. Air Force Academy and holds degrees in Astronautical and Mechanical Engineering.  Served 34 years in the Air Force ultimately becoming the Military Deputy in the Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Air Force for Acquisition. Mark was the first Air Force pilot to fly the YF-22 Advanced Tactical Fighter, led F-16 and F-22 development, and held executive leadership positions in missile defense and military space. Following his retirement from the Air Force in 2011, Mark advised government and industry executives on satellite and space launch vehicles and conducted progress reviews on major Defense projects. He and his wife are active ministry leaders at Countryside Bible Church in Southlake, Texas.
